Handwoven Blue Kilim Rug
This Berber rug carries a journey within it.
Discovered in the winding streets of Marrakech, I was drawn to its calm simplicity and unmistakable warmth the moment I saw it.
Handwoven in a Berber village, its craft has been passed down through generations; each line, knot and subtle imperfection a quiet marker of heritage. Rooted in tradition yet beautifully minimal, it’s a piece that sits effortlessly in both modern and soulful spaces.
I sourced this rug through a Moroccan maker I return to time and time again; a reminder that these pieces are not just decorative, but living expressions of culture and story. What makes this one especially striking is its gentle nod to Morocco’s most iconic hue: a deep Majorelle blue, inspired by the Saint Laurent Gardens in Marrakech. That pop of cobalt moves through the design with confidence, lifting the softness of the wool and bringing a sense of depth, vibrancy and calm.
More than a rug, this is a grounding piece.
Warmth underfoot.
Story in every thread.
A little piece of Morocco to anchor your space.
