Tamgroute pottery originates from the small desert-edge village of Tamegroute, around four hours from Marrakech, where artisans have been firing clay by hand for generations. The village is renowned for its deep, earthy glazes the iconic olive green, sun-baked ochre and rich, shadowy browns.

The colour is created through an ancient glaze recipe of manganese, copper oxide and magnesium, combined with clay from the Draa Valley and fired in traditional date-pit kilns. No two pieces ever emerge the same. Each one carries its own shade variations, fingerprints, kiln marks and soulful imperfections.

This particular vessel arrived home broken clean in half and has been beautifully repaired. She’s back together, structurally sound, and now holds even more character; the kind of piece that feels lived-in, storied, and truly one-of-one. Please take note of this repair and refer to the photographs; it’s part of her charm and her journey.
